Tip 5: Employees - FAQs
  1. What is an Employer Administrator? - When a Company or Business creates their Work-History account, they need to indicate who will bet the Administrative contact for that organisation. The Employer Administrator can add new employees, edit existing information and Star Rate employees.
  2. What is a Work-History Member Profile? - Your Member Profile is the summary of your personal identity information. It is owned by you and is enhanced by employers as they contribute role information and CCC References are added from Clients, Customers and Colleagues.
  3. How do I pay to use Work-History? - Some services of Work-History are offered FREE. For any chargeable services you can pay securely online using Visa, MasterCard, American Express, BPay or EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer). Work-History uses the secured payment gateway from the Third Party solution SecurePay (www.securepay.com.au) to process all transactions.
  4. What to do when your employer invites you to join Work-History for the first time? - You will receive an invitation email with a link to either consent or not consent to being an employee Member of Work-History. (If you choose not to consent you will not have a Work-History for this employment). In this email, you will be provided with your username, password and PIN. The username and password are used to activate your account. The PIN is used to provide consent for future verification requests and Star Ratings.
  5. I am not happy with my Privacy Settings, what options do I have? - At any point you can Opt Out or Opt In to Work-History. There are several Privacy Options available to you in the Employee Services section. Should these options not suit your current needs, you can either Opt Out or email admin@work-history.com for options and assistance. The Employee Services section has several Privacy Options available to you, including remove all Work-History Records.
  6. What if I see some sort of mistake on the Work-History site? - Employer Administrators are able to modify some details on the website and certain other protected details would need the assistance of the Work-History Administrator. Please email requests to admin@work-history.com . At any point you can also Opt Out or Opt In to Work-History to preserve your privacy.
  7. How can I be protected against an employer who I feel is biased or harsh? - Firstly, if you do not agree with any Star Rating given to you, you can choose NOT TO CONSENT to it, and as such it will not be published on the Work-History site. Work-History also allows for Challenges to be made to Star Ratings made by employers, which allows constructive communication between the two parties to ultimately reach an agreement with consent. If you are a good employee and you have multiple positive CCC References, at the same time that your Employer has given you a less than positive Star Rating, potential employers will now be able to see both sides of the situation.
